Essentials Pantry
The Essentials Pantry is a weekly event, offered by several churches in the Diocese of Maine, where people can go to collect items not available with food stamps. St. Nicholas participates in several ways: Weekly donations of items, packaging of items, and manning the Tuesday morning event every 6 to 7 weeks. The number of people coming to the Pantry continues to be 200 or more each week. They are always in need of diapers, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, feminine pads, shaving lotion, laundry detergent and dish detergent. Volunteers are needed. Especially needed are five to eight people for the Tuesday distribution.

Stewardship
What is Stewardship? Stewardship is the inspired use and care of God's creation, in which we give the best of our time, treasure and talents for the honor and glory of God.
Opportunities to Give
The church invites all members to pledge each year in thanksgiving for God's abundant love for us. In turn, the church budgets for the activities and services for the coming year based on our members' pledges.
For your convenience, St. Nick's participates in ParishPay, an online pledge and payment system. Visit the site and register to join, and select St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Scarborough, Maine as the recipient. ParishPay ensures that your payment is made regularly to the church, and you can manage your contributions online.
For information on how to pledge, please contact the church at stnicholaschurch@yahoo.com.
Other stewardship events and celebrations occur throughout the year such as the Christkindlsmarkt fair, the Don Martin Classic Golf Tournament, and a Community Yard Sale.
Countless opportunities exist for giving. Visit these suggested sites for more information.
